Happy New Year

Thursday, December 31st, 2009 | gym equipment sale, Kettler Syncross Elliptical, weight loss program with No Comments »

Happy New Year’s Eve to all of you from The King of Cardio! Here’s to a great new year, with good health, friends and family. Remember, for the most part, you are in charge of your health. If you religiously follow a regular exercise routine, maintain a healthy diet, don’t smoke and get enough sleep, you will be likely to be healthier. Attitude is a choice. Look forward to spreading great joy and love, and you’ll get it back. Karma. And staying in good health is certainly one way to be positive–no more complaining, moaning, wishing you were stronger or could lose a few pounds. Make yourself happy. Get into a workout routine. Use that stairmaster, that elliptical, that treadmill, every day if you can. And if you don’t have one yet, but are thinking about buying one, well, there is no better time than New Years to finally get in shape.

Peace and all good things,

Multitude of Fitness Equipment Suppliers

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009 | fitness equipment for home, home gym sale, online fitness store with No Comments »

Has anyone noticed the amount of fitness equipment suppliers there are on the internet? I mean it is insane at this point. Last night, I had a man call and inquire about a Precor AMT 100i, and I am not kidding when I say we were on the phone for 2 hours. This caller must have known every single fact about this Precor AMT that there was…and then some. If there were a written test on the electrical specs, workout courses, dimensions and history of the Precor AMT, I would bet this caller would do better than the Precor manufacturers who are responsible for the development of Precor gym equipment. So I asked him, “Sir, just out of curiousity, are you writing a book on the history of the Precor AMT 100i, and other Precor fitness gear, because you sound like you know every single thing possible there is to know about this elliptical. I bet you even know how thick the steel framework is?”….”I do he said”…. and then he proceeded to tell me that the reason he knows everything about this Precor AMT, includung what it future value will be in 2012 (just kidding), is because he has already talked to “at least 15 different internet fitness stores.” Just a year ago, if you GOOGLED “Precor AMT 100i”, there would be no more than 2-3 people advertising for that product. Now there are 20-30 rotating ads for that one elliptical alone.

The good part is that, there are not any stores that has reviews as good as the reviews for kings of cardio.

Stay Healthy!

Thursday, December 17th, 2009 | buy a new treadmill, buy an elliptical, buy precor treadmill, cybex with No Comments »

As someone who has to work at a computer for long hours (I’m a writer) I really have to make sure I don’t get a lot of problems that come with sitting and typing. First, I sit on a fitness ball, which is great for the core muscles. Then, every hour I do some back stretches. (You should ask a professional which ones are best for you, but what works best for me is clasping my hands together in front of me and pulling them forward as far as I can for the count of ten, then clasping them behind my back and doing the same kind of thing. But what’s really important is making sure I don’t get blood clots in my legs, and that’s where my stairmaster comes in. Nothing beats it for working my legs. Fifteen minutes before I write, a half hour after, at least. People die from blot clots (deep thrombosis) and I don’t want my job to kill me. I love writing, but I love living, too!

With that said, really nice home gym equipment helps me stay motivated. If you can get excited about exercising and actually want to add muscle and look better, then you will. Being healthy starts with your mindset. It is hard to get a great run in on a treadmill by just hoping on it one day and hoping for the best. No. That will not work. Make the treadmill, or whatever fitness equipment you use your friend. Make it your best friend. In order to truly look and feel great you need to always maintain a positive mindset and really like what you are doing and that will happen if you really like your fitness equipment.

Target Heart Rate and Interactive HR Programming

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 | heart rate, pulse, wireless heart rate monitor with No Comments »

my husband and I LOVE THE Precor EFX 546i elliptical and was wondering if it has interactive heart rate programs? I use the heart rate handgrips on it all the time but I still have not figured out how to use the polar wireless chest strap in order to control the resistance level based off my target heart rate zone. For example, on many cardio machines such as elliptical units and treadmills, there are interactive programs that allow the user to vary the resistance according to their pulse. For instance, lets say Joe Smith sets his target heart rate to 130. When he is exercising on his elliptical, the resistance will insrease or decrease based on what John’s heart rate is at that moment. So, if John set his target heart rate to 130 and he was at 160 bpm, then the resistance of the elliptical would decrease so John would not be working out as hard, in turn, lowering his pulse. On the other hand, if John starts taking it easy, and his pulse falls to a calm 80 bpm, then the intensity of the elliptical will pick back up in order to get your heart rate back up.

John McGuan vs. Wifey pt. Deuce

Saturday, December 12th, 2009 | get slim, healthy food, wasy ways to lose weight, workout with no equipment with No Comments »

john-mcguan1Well it has been five weeks since we purchased our treadmill and I have to say it has made a profound difference in our family. Over the years my wife and I have noticed ourselves slippping in our physical fitness. One day she woke up and issued a challenge stating she could lose 20 pounds before I. Now we are a very competitive couple but due to our work schedules and taking care of our two beautiful children we found it hard to make time to drive to the gym. Browsing the internet I came across kingsofcardio.com and put a phone call that has yielded amazing results. Our Lifefitness 95ti treadmill fits in seamlessly with our living room and never has given the slightest hint of trouble She prefers to workout in the morning while I believe optimal results are achieved in the late afternoon
I have lost 12 pounds in six weeks, which is quite noticeable on my 5’10″ frame. This puts which puts me 4 pounds ahead of my wife who has shed 8 pounds!!!
I find I have increased energy and concentration at my work and my friends and family comment that I am an enjoyable person to be around. While I am very proud of my progress towards dropping 20 pounds I must not let my concentration slack one bit as my wife has the heart of a champion . Thanks so much I will keep you guys informed of our future progress!!

A Treadmill for Christmas!

Friday, December 11th, 2009 | Best Home Fitness Equipment Deals on exercise bikes with No Comments »

Give the perfect gift for Christmas and know that your friend or family member will love you for it! Why give someone a cutting board, the cliche set of tools, or superfluous clothes, when you can give a gift with so much importance and value as a treadmill or an elliptical. Rowing machines are awesome gifts as well because they do not take up too much space and their are plenty of gym quality rowing machines at discounted prices. Other examples of low maintenance, low cost, and space saving fitness equipment are upright bikes and recumbent bikes. Not only do stationary exercise bikes take up little space and produce highly effective results, but fitness bikes are easy on joints and bones as well. In contrast to treadmills and stairclimbers which can hurth the knees and hips its user, exercise bikes put little pressure on the joints and tendons of the user.

Monday, December 7th, 2009 | 10 Tips on Buying Fitness Equipment, Abdomial Exercise - Stomach Workout, buy a new treadmill, buy an elliptical with No Comments »

Just wanted to let everybody know that I am now running up to 45 minutes a day on my Life Fitness 95ti treadmill. As part of my plan to lose 22 pounds, I purchased an elliptical and treadmill for cardio, along with a home gym for my strength workout. When I run on my treadmill, I use the interactive heart rate programming, in order to burn the maximum amount of calories possible. Getting the most out of each and every workout is a must for those of you trying to lose a bunch of weight. Just doing a light jog and some sit-ups is not going to cut the layers of fat off like running on a tredmill or an elliptical for at least 45 minutes a day.

Give A Great Gift for the Holidays!

Monday, December 7th, 2009 | home fitness equipment with No Comments »

Nothing beats giving someone a present for the holidays that they really enjoy. We all remember when we got a gift for Christmas and it was something that we couldn’t care less about having. Those times are easy to remember because we receive more often than not, superfluous gifts, that have no meaning, or impact on our everyday lives. So give someone something that will change their life for the better. Get you best friend a treadmill instead of a gift certificate to an electronics store. Buy your mom an elliptical so she can exercise instead of buying her a clothing or something else that does not live up to the importance of buying someone home fitness equipment

Walking Really Helps!

Saturday, December 5th, 2009 | life fitness exercise bike, precor 956i, precor 966i, precor home gym equipment, stairmaster 4600cl with No Comments »

I have something called restless leg syndrome, which means my legs twitch at night when I’m trying to sleep. It not only keeps me awake, but really bothers my husband. A doctor prescribed something, but the possible side-effects sounded worse than my leg twitching. What I’ve figured out is that slow, steady walking for about a half hour, on a slight incline on a treadmill, will tire out my legs enough so they don’t twitch. I can do it while I watch the news, although watching the news can get me upset so I can’t sleep either. Maybe watch something boring. The idea is to get your legs tired, but not get your heart beating too hard. You can do that earlier in the day, with your regular workout, but at night, just use the treadmill to tire out your legs so you don’t kick your spouse. :)
