Precor has set themselves apart from the rest, in the industry of health and fitness, as evidenced by their latest groundbreaking and user-defined pieces of gym and home fitness equipment. User defined motions mean that the user of the exercise equipment can determine how long or short their stride length is. When referring to an elliptical, more often than not, elliptical cross-trainers have set stride lengths that can’t be changed or altered. Therefore, someone that is tall, will not be comfortable using an elliptical with a short stride length, and vice versa. For instance, the Life Fitness 95Xi has a set stride length of 20 inches and for some people, that are under five and a half feet tall (we will say for arguments sake) may not feel like the stride length of the elliptical accomodates their needs. In other words, an elliptical must duplicate amd mimic the natural walking, jogging, or running stride of its user, otherwise, it will not be very comforatble for the user to exercise on.

The Precor AMT 100i adaptive motion trainer is my favorite piece of cardiovascular fitness equipment ever assembled. Love the way that the AMT 100i does what it is supposed to and actually adapts to the motion of its user. every commercial health and fitness center along with every home gym should have at least one of these premium adaptive motion training machines. Does anyone on this forum know the optimal Heart rate zone for a 52 year old man who is 5’9, 174 pounds? thank you in adavance!
