***Call 800-990-1108 for pricing, information, reviews and shipping lead times for the Precor EFX 556 and all other Precor fitness equipment.***

The Precor EFX 556 elliptical does a phenomenal job assimilating to the natural walking and running motion of its user. Built by one of the worlds most renowned fitness companies, this one of a kind elliptical was designed to give your entire body a head to toe workout, while protecting knees, hips and your body as a whole, from the pains typically associated with running.

These days there are so many different pieces of gym and home fitness equipment, that when talking to a friend or a fitness expert, they most likely are unfamiliar with the exact unit you yourself use at the gym. In other words, when John says to Pete, “I used the CZ 400 Strider at my gym”, Pete will more often than not, have no clue what piece of fitness equipment John is referring to.

That is not the case when one discusses the Precor EFX series 556 cross-trainer. Talk about a hallmark! Can you even think of the elliptical cross-trainer that successfully provided an upper and lower body workout, before the invention of the EFX 556? Of course you can’t…Precor was the first company to ever develop the “Cross-Trainer” and the EFX 556 is its pride and joy. In the literal sense, without exaggerating, Precor created the first gym quality cross-trainers. The Precor EFX 556 model has been so popular with gym members and other fitness experts, that Precor has continued to improve and upgrade the EFX 556 into the EFX 556 V.2, or EFX 556i, or the EEFX 556i Experience series. But, all of the updates and modifications have all been upgrades and changes to the display, user feedback, workout programs and heart rate controls. Precor has not, and they most likely will not, change the original bio-mechanical design that laid the foundation for their elliptical cross-trainers as a whole.

The original “bio-mechanical design” in other words means the way the leg stride feels to the user and the reason it has remained unchanged after all of these years, is because this EFX 556 has done such a fantastic job in replicating the natural smooth, and ergonomically-correct stride of its user.

With its upper body arms, along with multiple workout options and various intensity levels, the Precor EFX 556 makes each workout session new and creative.

In regard to its impermeable steel frame, its structural integrity is comparable to that of a battle ship! That means this cross trainer can be used at top speeds for up to 15 hours per day. Good luck breaking it down.

Through their development of this groundbreaking elliptical, Precor has made themselves one of the most recognized names in the fitness industry today, and that recognition spans across the globe. If you are really serious about losing weight and reducing body fat, then let a Precor elliptical be your weapon against obesity and lethargy.

Home Fitness Equipment

Our new computer generation of kids has turned to video games and action figures more than any in the past. For some reason these days, kids have really stopped going outside and playing sports. Footbal has been replaced by facebook. Basketball courts have been replaced by the bedroom. The point I am driving at is that todays youth has done less in regard to physical activity, than any previous generation. What will be the result? Will our nation become even lazier and more over weight? Will we start to lose in the Olympics instead of dominate?

What the future of our nation will be remains unknown as always, but the fact that as a country our youth does not exercise as much as it used to, is telling for what is to come in our future. The United States of America is already overwhelmed with obesity beyond belief and the fact that kids and teenagers workout and exercise at minimal rates, adds to the doom and gloom of the situation.

Here is an idea…let’s replace video games and other superfluous electronic devices, with home fitness equipment. Seriously, imagine how much better our country would look and feel if we spend less time amusing ourselves with mind numbing TV and/or video games? Wake up people, it’s time to change, get yourself a freaking treadmill already. Bike a rowing machine and lose some weight. Instead of splurging on diamonds, buy a home gym. Do something to better your health. 90% of people try and find some easy way to lose weight and get healthy. 100% of them will fail. Success is a journey, not a destination. Your excess weight will not dissapear overnight. Due to the human body being unable to get in shape with the snap of a finger, we need to start exercising when we are young. We need to teach children the importance of health and fitness. Kids need to learn how to use home fitness equipment in a safe and effective way.

Power Struggle

Has anyone noticed the amount of fitness equipment suppliers there are on the internet? I mean it is insane at this point. Last night, I had a man call and inquire about a Precor AMT 100i, and I am not kidding when I say we were on the phone for 2 hours. This caller must have known every single fact about this Precor AMT that there was…………. and then some. If there were a written test on the specs, prices, dimensions and history of the Precor AMT, I would bet this caller would do better than the Precor manufacturers who are responsible for the development of Precor gym equipment. So I asked him, “Sir, just out of curiousity, are you writing a book on the history of the Precor AMT 100i, and other Precor fitness gear, because you sound like you know every single thing possible there is to know about this elliptical. I bet you even know how thick the steel framework is?”….”I do he said”…. and then he proceeded to tell me that the reason he knows everything about this Precor AMT, includung what it future value will be in 2012 (just kidding), is because he has already talked to “at least 15 different internet fitness stores.” Just a year ago, if you GOOGLED “Precor AMT 100i”, there would be no more than 2-3 people advertising for that product. Now there are 20-30 rotating ads for that one elliptical alone.

The good part is that, there are not any stores that has reviews as good as the reviews for kings of cardio.

Hibernate or Exercise…what will you do?

The weather is starting to get colder which means that exercising outside becomes less intriguing as each day passes. Who wants to run outside at night in Cleveland, Detroit, New York, or anywhere that is cold for that matter. This is why treadmills, ellipticals and other home gym equipment was invented. These days it is easier than ever to purchase quality fitness equipment for your home, making stay in shape possible, even if your window of opportunity to exercise each day shuts as new things come up into our schedules un-announced. When you have fitness equipment at home, you do not have to carve 2 hours out of your day for going to the gym, showering, sitting in traffic, so on and so forth.

My Body Still Is Not Ready For Summer!

Monday, June 29th, 2009 | Ways to Burn Fat, Weight Loss Tips with No Comments »

As we near July, it has become evident that I have not done all that I need to in order to look good in my bathing suit for the summer, and I am not ready to accept that. Every single year I promise myself that by the time summer comes around I am going to be toting a six pack and not weigh more than 170 (I am 6’0). The nor weighing more than 170 pounds thingn is only when I am not weight training really hard, if I was lifting weights every day and eating lots of protein and around 4000 calories, then I would be satisfied at like 180 pounds or even 190 pounds as long as my body fat percentage remained under 6.5%. But anyway…..back to the swimsuit thing and I am not totally out of shape, there has been some work done on my part, but you get out what you put in and right now I don’t have too much that I can take out, so I have to put a lot more work in and just pray that by mid-July, my swimsuit body will be ready, if not, I will consider myself a total failure….just kidding, kinda, sorta. Ha! Anyway, as I mentioned, I am 6’0 and right now I weight around, like, ummmmmmmmmm, 183 pounds. I need to get down to 170 pounds and I was looking for some good ideas from the KOC bloggers and bloggets as to what my best course of action is? Should I just go all out and exercise for like 4 hours a day? Different people have told me different things. I have heard that yeah, if you really want to look your best and feel your best, get some cardio and strength equipment for your home and just go crazy. Don’t let up, no matter how sore you are, just keep pumping iron and doing cardiovascular workouts and the rest is history. The counter argument to that, which I have heard quite frequently as well, is that if you try and push yourself too hard, through daily physical training, cardio and strength training, that you will become so sore and beat up that you will just burn yourself out due to exhaustion and just not want to exercise anymore at all.
